Last talk with Kouta had gone...not so well.
Mai had thought that he had been acting strange recently, but she hadn't thought it'd be to this point. He could barely look her in the eye and this go around only confirmed her suspicions. It's not good, it's not good at all. From what he told her after she almost strangled it out of him, Kouta is...Kouta is.
Dying, for lack of a better word.
He's weakening. The forest is weakening.
So maybe--?
Mai hurries to Ryouma's lab. Fast as she can, heart thundering in her ears, and when she slams open the door she can barely breathe. She still manages to gather enough breath to shout:
"Professor, is there a way we can help the forest!?"
